The present project is an initiative and creation of two civil structures, who are devoted to the preservation of the national identity – history, folklore and crafts – the “Youth Movement for the Future” Association from Montana, Bulgaria and the Cultural Association “Ivan Tsvetkovic” from Grkinja, Nishava district, Serbia. During their partnering activities in the previous years, the associations took a joint decision to prepare a project together and present it for financing at the Interreg-IPA CBC Programme Bulgaria - Serbia, aiming to restore the pottery crafts in the two rural villages – Burzia, Montana district, Bulgaria and Grkinja, Nishava district, Serbia. Both organization are engaged with groups for authentic folklore in the settlements. That is how the idea for a new tourist product “Crafts - Folklore” was born. They want to revive the past for everyone – for the young, the adult and the elder people and even big cities tourists, interested in traditional craft and folklore. The “Youth Movement for the Future” Association from Montana, Bulgaria and the Cultural Association “Ivan Tsvetkovic” from Grkinja, Nishava district, Serbia were lucky and their project “Craft Pottery for All” was financed. Herein everyone will have the opportunity to follow the project realization – the establishment of the Training Pottery Studios and the preparation and conduction of “Folklore and Crafts” fairs in the two villages. Even more, everyone can come to any of the places and learn how to make an article of clay or dance at the fair! Just be with us, Follow us!
